This year marks my third year attending the Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn botanical Gardens, and although I only attended Sunday, it was great and I am glad to say that i can’t wait until 2014 to make it my forth! Traditional events included Taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, tea ceremonies, Bonsai demonstrations, and origami workshops. They also had fun events on the J-Pop stage including an AMAZING magician and a breathtaking taking tap dancer! The matsuri ended with the Cosplay Fashion Show, and each costume was intricate and flawless. My only suggestion for the event, is that they incorporate more Japanese Pop Culture- like bringing back the Maid Cafe!
